Beginning Balance
The Beginning Balance (Saldo Awal) feature allows School Admins to set an initial financial balance for the school's treasury. This is typically used at the start of a new academic year or when first setting up the financial module.

Why It Matters
The Beginning Balance acts as a starting point for all financial calculations in eSchool. It:
- Provides an accurate baseline for financial reporting
- Ensures the Finance Dashboard correctly reflects the school's actual financial position
- Allows the system to track cash flow from a known starting point
Setting the Beginning Balance
Navigate to Settings → Beginning Balance from the sidebar
Enter the Opening Balance Amount for the current period
Select the Effective Date (the date from which this balance applies)
Add a Description or note for reference (e.g., "Opening balance FY 2024/2025")
Click Save to confirm
Important: The beginning balance should only be set once per accounting period. Changing it mid-period can cause discrepancies in financial reports. Consult your school treasurer before modifying this value.
