Promote / Change Class
The Promote / Change Class feature allows school administrators to move students from one class to another — typically used at the end of an academic year to promote students to the next grade level.

How to Promote Students

Select the students you want to promote (you can select all or individual students)
Click Promote to confirm the class change
Use Cases
| Scenario | Description |
|---|---|
| Year-End Promotion | Move all students from Grade 10 to Grade 11 at the end of the school year |
| Individual Transfer | Move a single student to a different section within the same grade |
| Remedial Placement | Move a student back to repeat a grade level |
Before promoting students, make sure the target class has sufficient capacity and the new academic year's session is already set up in the system.
Notes
- Promotion does not delete historical data from the previous class; all grades, attendance, and records remain linked to the student's history
- If a student is promoted incorrectly, contact the system administrator to reverse the action
- The Change Class function also handles stream transfers (e.g., moving from IPA to IPS in Indonesian high schools)
